Tanks of compressed hydrogen can be transported on trucks
Compressed hydrogen can be moved on specially designed tube trailers equipped with multiple high-strength, cylindrical tanks designed to handle moderate amounts of compressed hydrogen. Before loading, hydrogen is compressed using mechanical compressors to reduce its volume and allow for efficient storage in the trailer tanks. In the United States, hydrogen tube trailers are legally allowed to carry up to 380 kilograms of hydrogen.1
