Burning ammonia produces no greenhouse gasses but does produce moderate amounts of nitrogen oxides
Burning ammonia can produce nitrogen oxides (NOx), which are harmful pollutants and contribute to air quality issues and the formation of acid rain.1 NOx emissions are a significant concern when considering ammonia as a fuel, and effective control technologies and high-quality engineering are necessary to mitigate these emissions.2
