Some countries have announced plans to import green hydrogen

Many countries have announced plans to import green hydrogen instead of attempting to fully meet their hydrogen needs with domestic production. The European Union has announced that they plan to import 10 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030.1 Many of the major East Asian economies — Japan, Korea, and Singapore — have announced their intent to import both green hydrogen and green ammonia.2
